Settings, local scores, and some profile data can remain only on your device.
WSUDOKU · PRIVACY
This policy explains what WSudoku processes when you play locally, use online features, connect Steam, use the Android build, visit this website, or contact Kvass Games.
AT A GLANCE
Settings, local scores, and some profile data can remain only on your device.
Accounts, progression, results, and duel data are sent to the WSudoku service.
Your chosen name, profile presentation, and leaderboard results can be shown to other players.
Steam and Google process some data under their own privacy policies.
01
WSudoku is developed and operated under the name Kvass Games. Kvass Games is responsible for the WSudoku processing described in this policy. Privacy questions can be sent to Perezhoginviktor@proton.me.
This policy covers the WSudoku desktop and Android builds, the WSudoku online account and game services, this website, and support or deletion requests. Steam, Google, GitHub, Proton, and other platform providers also process data for their own services under their own policies.
02
The WSudoku website code contains no analytics or advertising scripts, forms, browser storage, or first-party tracking cookies. GitHub Pages hosts the site and may process ordinary request information such as IP address, device or browser information, requested page, referring page, and time of access under GitHub's privacy statement.
WSudoku can store a random app-generated identifier, profile and progression data, local scores, graphics, audio, vibration and language settings, online-account lifecycle state, Android consent choices, and a local Remove Ads entitlement. The random identifier is not an IMEI, serial number, or other hardware identifier.
Android cloud backup and device-to-device transfer are disabled for WSudoku app files. Clearing the app's storage or uninstalling it removes local files; uninstalling alone does not delete an online account.
When you use online features, WSudoku processes an internal account ID, authentication link or random device credential, sessions, client version, and platform. Profile data can include your chosen username or display name, avatar seed, level, XP, medals and cash, achievements, statistics, language, unlocked or equipped themes, backgrounds and frames, and creation or update times.
Online runs can process the puzzle and solution, completed board, difficulty, start and completion time, elapsed time, score, mistakes, assistance penalties, puzzle or Daily ID, run and request IDs, rewards, streaks, and leaderboard rank. The server checks and calculates competitive results so that clients cannot directly choose their own score or reward.
WSudoku processes room and match IDs, room code, host and player IDs, selected difficulty, ready and connection state, moves and filled-cell progress, completion, disconnect, forfeit or rematch events, result, reason, time, and reward. Your opponent receives the profile and live progress needed to play the match.
If Steam is connected, WSudoku processes your SteamID64, persona name, public avatar, equipped avatar frame and mini-profile background, and a short-lived Steam authentication ticket. The ticket is used to validate and link your Steam account, then cleared. Steam-native scores, result details, achievements, invites, and rich presence can be sent to Valve. Avatar and profile media are fetched from Steam or its content-delivery providers and cached in memory by the game rather than uploaded as media to the WSudoku server. See Valve's privacy agreement.
The Android build includes Google Mobile Ads and Google's User Messaging Platform. According to Google's current Mobile Ads disclosure, the SDK automatically collects and shares IP address, which can indicate general location; app launch, tap and ad or video interactions; diagnostics such as launch time, hangs and energy use; and identifiers such as the Android advertising ID and app-set ID. Google says it uses this information for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention.
WSudoku checks consent through Google's consent interface and requests ads only when that interface says ads may be requested. A privacy-options form is available in Settings when Google requires it. Buying Remove Ads prevents later ad loading or display, but Google Play Billing and consent-state checks can still operate.
Depending on the law where you live and the advertising configuration, disclosures to Google for personalized ads may be treated as a sale, sharing, or targeted advertising. Google's consent and privacy interface provides the choices that apply to that ad request.
Google Play Billing processes the Remove Ads product, purchase state, and purchase token. WSudoku uses the token with Google to acknowledge the purchase and stores a local owned/not-owned value. The current WSudoku service does not receive the purchase token or order ID, and Kvass Games does not receive full payment-card details. Google's handling is described in the Google privacy policy.
If you email Kvass Games, we process your email address, message, and any details you voluntarily provide. For account deletion this may include a display name, platform, approximate last-played date, internal Support ID, and the information needed to verify account ownership. Never send a password, device credential, purchase token, or full payment receipt by email.
The WSudoku server and infrastructure provider necessarily receive connection and request information such as IP address, time, platform, client version, and network, error, or security events. WSudoku does not include a separate crash-reporting or first-party analytics SDK, but Google Mobile Ads performs the diagnostics and interaction analytics described above.
Authorized WSudoku administrators can search accounts by identifiers such as username, internal Support ID, display name, device credential, or linked Steam identity when they need to resolve a request, investigate abuse, or operate the service. Private audit records can include the administrator and target account IDs, action details, and request IDs.
03
Choose your username with care. Do not use your real name or other identifying information unless you want it associated with your WSudoku results.
Global and Daily leaderboard data sent to authenticated WSudoku players can include your account owner ID, rank, score, chosen username or Steam persona, platform, avatar seed, level, equipped game frame, puzzle or Daily information, elapsed time, mistakes, assistance penalties, and result identifiers. Not every field is always drawn on screen, but it may be included in the leaderboard response.
For linked Steam entries, the response can include the exact SteamID64 so WSudoku can display Steam profile presentation and open the corresponding public Steam Community profile. Duel opponents can see your account ID, name, avatar, level, frame, platform, connection state, and live puzzle progress needed for the match.
04
Where laws such as the GDPR require a legal basis, Kvass Games relies on the bases below. The exact basis may depend on where you live and which feature you use.
| Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Provide local play, accounts, synchronization, leaderboards, Daily puzzles, online duels, and Steam linking you request | Performance of our agreement with you or steps you request before using the service |
| Validate scores, prevent cheating or abuse, secure accounts, troubleshoot failures, and protect the service | Our legitimate interests in a reliable, fair, and secure game service |
| Show Android advertising and remember privacy choices | Your consent where required; Google may also rely on bases described in its policy |
| Process and restore the Remove Ads purchase | Performance of the purchase agreement and applicable legal obligations |
| Answer support, privacy, and deletion requests | Our legitimate interests in supporting users and complying with legal obligations |
| Publish and protect this website | Our legitimate interests in communicating about and supporting WSudoku |
05
We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal process, protect users or the service, investigate fraud or abuse, or complete a business reorganization. If ownership of WSudoku changes, relevant data may transfer with the service subject to applicable law.
06
Some systems use retention criteria rather than a fixed number of days. We keep data only for the period or purpose described below, subject to legal, security, dispute, and backup needs.
| Data | Retention |
|---|---|
| Local settings, profile, scores, consent, and entitlement | Until overwritten, reset where applicable, app storage is cleared, or the app is uninstalled |
| Online account, profile, progression, economy, achievements, and account-linked leaderboard data | While the account remains active, until replaced, or until account deletion; WSudoku currently has no automatic inactivity expiry |
| Solo and Daily runs, result markers, and persistent duel results | While needed to provide account history, rewards, competitive integrity, and leaderboards, ordinarily until account deletion |
| Live match and room state | For the active room or match and as long as needed to settle or clean it up; derived result and reward records may remain with the account |
| Server, error, security, and abuse-prevention records | For as long as reasonably needed to secure, troubleshoot, and protect the service, resolve disputes, and meet legal duties |
| Deletion marker | An internal deleted-account identifier may remain as long as needed to prevent deleted data becoming active if an older backup is restored |
| Support and deletion correspondence | For as long as needed to answer and secure the request; deletion correspondence may remain for up to 90 days after completion unless law requires longer |
| Steam, Google, GitHub Pages, and Proton data | According to each provider's own retention and account controls |
07
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:
You can change supported profile and privacy settings in the app. On Android, open Settings → Privacy options when that option is required and available. You can also reset or limit the advertising identifier through Android settings and manage Steam or Google data through those accounts.
To exercise a right, email Perezhoginviktor@proton.me. We may request enough information to verify the account and keep someone else from accessing or deleting it. If you are in the EEA, you may complain to your local data-protection authority. In Sweden, that authority is Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY).
08
Open Settings → Account → Delete account and confirm.
You can also use the public deletion page at perezhoginviktor.github.io/WSudoku-site/delete-account/ without access to the app. Kvass Games aims to acknowledge an email request within 7 days and complete a verified request within 30 days.
A successful normal-account deletion removes the server account, authentication links and sessions, user-owned storage, wallet, public and personal WSudoku leaderboard records, and associated profile and progression data. For in-app deletion, or after WSudoku later detects an externally deleted account, the client clears its known account-profile and score files. An external request cannot directly erase files on a device that does not reconnect; clear app storage or uninstall WSudoku to remove them. Local language, audio, display, vibration, consent, and purchase-entitlement settings can remain until then.
Limited records may remain where needed to honor the deletion, secure the service, document a request, comply with law, or handle an older backup. If a deleted account previously performed administrator actions, its internal UUID may remain in private audit records belonging to affected accounts until those records are deleted or separately scrubbed. Account deletion does not delete Steam-native leaderboard entries or achievements, Google Play transaction records, or other data controlled by Valve or Google. Uninstalling WSudoku does not by itself delete an online account.
09
WSudoku does not ask for a date of birth. At the date of this policy, Android is a test build rather than a public Google Play release. Before a public store release, Kvass Games will select and configure its target audience and update this section if the resulting data treatment changes.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided personal data through WSudoku without the authorization required where you live, contact Kvass Games. We will review the request and delete or restrict the data when required.
10
WSudoku uses measures designed to protect account and game data, including authenticated server operations, server-side score and result validation, access controls, short-lived Steam tickets, and online clients configured for encrypted connections. No storage or transmission method is completely secure.
Platform, hosting, content-delivery, website, and email providers may process information in countries outside your own. Their privacy policies describe their processing and transfer arrangements. Contact Kvass Games if you need information about safeguards applicable to your WSudoku data.
11
We may update this policy when WSudoku, its providers, or legal requirements change. The effective and last-updated dates at the top show which version applies. Material changes will be posted on this page and, where appropriate, communicated in the game or store listing.
